Case Study

Tuatahi

Project Info

After successful Ockham projects at Bernoulli Gardens and SET Apartments we were happy to work with the forward-thinking developer at their recent complex in Mount Albert.

Tuatahi means ‘the first’ and for this build the prominent company added some new features for residents, including a beautiful resident’s library and a sparkling swimming pool.

It was not the first project we’ve undertaken with Ockham Residential however. At Tuatahi they wished to continue with the unique look of the Emissary balustrade that Attaché had provided to previous projects. The fin-style design of this balustrade complemented the distinctive brick façades and unique detailing their apartments have become celebrated for.

The project covered 18 months across all three buildings, with 1200 l/m of balustrade fitted by work’s end. The work all went seamlessly. Our history with Ockham provided a mutual understanding of the strengths and values of each company. We also had the right people overseeing everything for us.

At our Auckland depot Attaché Project Manager Jim Green kept a close eye on every centimetre of product. From there he checked that all the external balcony balustrades, breezeway balustrades and internal stairwell balustrades were exactly as specified. He also collaborated with Urban Group to ensure first-class fencing for the swimming pool area.

We always appreciate working with Ockham Residential. With their design attention to detail in and construction expertise and experience, they too always focus on ‘building beautiful’. That’s why were all the happier when this work was completed on time and to budget and we were awarded Ockham’s next exciting development – the stunning Kohiki apartments in Waterview.
