Project Info
Arlington Apartments in Wellington, New Zealand, were given an upgrade thanks to the power of the community.
You may have heard the term power of the community before, but you might not know what it means. In this instance, it refers to members of Wellington’s community coming together to upgrade to one of the city’s social housing sites, Arlington Apartments.
Their plans included several upgrades – one being a new balustrade on their stairs and balconies. In the planning stage of this project, it was crucial to get things right. The council and residents were looking for a balustrade solution that provided both security and privacy. We offered a variety of different design options to keep things on a budget and above standard. The answer was simple: aluminium balustrades, offering security, privacy, strength and easy cleaning to make life easier for people living there.
Working with Novak Middleton Architects and Hawkins Construction (our main client), we ensured everything just clicked into place for a successful project – from providing drawings, manufacture, prefabrication to ensuring everything was delivered on time. We understand that our client’s success is our success, and we like to be involved at every stage of a project if possible.
As a team, we have transformed their outdoor with new balustrades, and thanks to the team’s attention to detail and flair for design, these new fixtures not only look good but are durable, so they won’t need replacing any time soon!
